Comments
This word does not exist in the dictionaries. It comes from изуми́тельный (amazing) and изю́м (raisins). Изю́минка (one berry of raisin) in Russian also means something interesting, worth attention.
Originally the word came out of an anecdote:
Translation (please be aware that the translation does not reflect the game of words in which the joke is built in Russian):
Lecture in the Armenian club, topic: "About women". Lecturer:
- A woman who gives herself lying down is a positive woman; a woman who gives herself standing is a worthwhile woman; a woman who gives herself from behind is a fatal woman...
A question from the audience:
- I knew one woman, so she gave herself only for a bag of raisins!
- Oh, oh, oh, this is an изюмительная woman!
