Ро́вно год наза́д, 22 сентября́ 2011 го́да вы́шли 2 пе́рвых эпизо́да подкаста.

Exactly one year ago, on September 22, 2011, two first episodes of the podcast were published.

Что́бы э́тот внепла́новый вы́пуск сде́лать не то́лько пра́здничным, но и познава́тельным, сего́дня представля́ю вам о́чень позити́вное сло́во улыбну́ло.

To make this unscheduled episode not only festive, but also informative, today I present to you a very positive word “улыбнуло”.

Как мо́жно догада́ться, происхо́дит оно́ от сло́ва “улыба́ться”. Тако́е словообразова́ние на са́мом де́ле противоре́чит пра́вилам ру́сского языка́ хотя́ бы про́сто потому́, что глаго́л “улыба́ться” всегда́ возвра́тный. Улыбну́ло явля́ется проду́ктом совреме́нности и употребля́ется то́лько в разгово́рном языке́ (ча́сто его́ мо́жно встре́тить на развлека́тельных са́йтах и́ли фо́румах в интерне́те). Означа́ет э́то сло́во “вы́звало улы́бку”.

As you can guess, it comes from the word “to smile”. Such word-formation actually contradicts the Russian grammar rules, at least because the verb “smile” is always reflexive. “Улыбнуло” is a product of modern days and used only in conversational language (often it can be seen on entertainment websites or forums on the internet). And the meaning of this word is “it made me smile”.
