Happy Mardi Gras! It’s that time of year again, when the streets of New Orleans are covered in green, purple and gold beads. Well…actually they’re always like that. But after this weekend there are even more than usual! Well I’ve been in Louisiana for a couple months now, and I still don’t understand what a bayou is. To me, it just looks the same as a river. Except there are trees growing in it? And alligators. Originally I had a road trip planned this spring to travel from Boise to Phoenix for a friend’s wedding, stopping at places like Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Sedona along the way.
