Monthly Musings – Long Distance Baking

We haven’t done a book review in a long time but we’re big readers over here on LDB! Our book interests range from sci-fi to memoirs to historical fiction to fantasy (although no fantasy book will ever top Harry Potter…). So in the spirit of New Years Resolutions, we have both compiled a list of books we hope to read in the coming year. Hi friends! Things are getting a bit hectic around LDB right now, which is odd for this time of year. I feel like late winter/early spring there’s usually nothing going on. If you remember, Kelly and I originally started doing Monthly Musings here on LDB. Once a month we would post our current ramblings or fill you in on life. However as we’ve gotten more in the swing of things with creating and posting recipes regularly, the Monthly Musings have fallen by the wayside. Well, it’s official. I have finally visited Yosemite and it’s only taken me 24 years. It’s about time! See, I live in California. Born in Sacramento, raised in Elk Grove, went to school in Davis and Los Angeles, and now back in Elk Grove. I’ve traveled all across the United States (the only states I haven’t really been to are the middle ones like Arkansas and Oklahoma… I’ll make it those few states one day) yet I have never been to Yosemite and it’s only 2 1/2 hours from where I live. … [Read more…]

Both of us love to read and are constantly giving each other updates of books we’re currently reading or want to read.
